Valeska Gioia

Assistive Technology/Educational Specialist
Valeska Gioia is an Assistive Technology Specialist, and Autism Consultant for the SC Autism Society. Her position allows her to assist districts throughout South Carolina by conducting assistive technology assessments and by providing professional development to their employees, parents, and students. Valeska presents throughout the state on various technologies that can improve student performance in all academic areas. Valeska has also presented nationally at ATIA, Closing the Gap, and The Council for Exceptional Children and she has also presented internationally for Microsoft. Valeska received her Bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education and has three graduate degrees in Education Technology, Literacy and Language, and Administration. She has attended CSUN and obtained her certification (ATACP) in Assistive Technology and her RTP certification through RESNA also in Assistive Technology. Valeska is also a member of Microsoft Partners in Learning and a Certified Microsoft Instructor and a Nationally Certified Autism Specialist. She is also certified to teach students with visual impairments.
