Tameka Nicholson, also a presenter at local, state, and national venues, is an Enterprise Learning Coach with CCEL. She is a passionate teacher leader and works to enhance the learning process for both teachers and students. During her time with CCEL, Tameka has become a trained Cognitive Coach, a certified Train-the-Trainer for Project Based Learning (by Buck Institute), and a Critical Friends protocols practitioner (by National School Reform Faculty). Tameka has over 10 years of experience in education. She has worked in Equity and Access on the college level and has taught English in middle and high school. As a teacher, Tameka was instrumental in establishing M.V.P (Motivation Vision Promise), an alternative honors program designed to support students access to honors level and Advanced Placement courses in high school. She is also one of the founders of Girls Empowered, a leadership institute for 8th grade girls. Her experiences have shaped her belief that learning is a journey, not a destination.
