Literacy in a digital world is more than just reading and writing, but these traditional skills are still vital components to literacy. With the increased use of smartphones, chromebooks and tablets by our students how can we use these tools to build their literacy capabilities and how do we meld the traditional literacy skills with the digital literacy skills? Experience literacy in ways you never imagined using digital resources. We will explore more than just apps that support literacy as we walk through sample lesson ideas and strategies that take advantage of the tools available within model phones, iPads, and chromebooks to support all levels of literacy across multiple grade levels.
