I am currently the Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at Nation Ford High School in the Fort Mill School District and the Assistant Principal of The Year in 2019. I obtained my B.A. from the University of South Carolina, my masters in teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and masters of educational leadership from Winthrop University. I was a former newspaper executive – at 4 major newspapers on the east coast, a Language Arts teacher (NBCT), promoted to an Academic Facilitator, and promoted to an administrator overseeing curriculum and instruction. I serve as the Winthrop NetSCOPE Liaison and the Winthrop Educational Advisory Board, coach for the SCDOE Priority Schools Team, and an evaluator for the SC Schools To Watch program. I have presented at SCASA, Winthrop University, High Schools that Work, Olde English Consortium, and the National Middle Grades Schools to Watch conference.
